Senior Prize Winners – 2017

Paraparaumu College has named Max Hayhurst as its top academic student for 2017.  This award was the climax of the Senior Prize Giving held at Southward Theatre on Tuesday 7th November.

Head student, Tessa Thomson, won the David Tunley Trophy for Overall Excellence in Year 13 after a remarkable year of achievement and leadership.

The premier academic award for Year 12 was shared by Trent Lockyer and Leeza Speranskaya, with Trent Lockyer winning the Inaugural Board of Trustees Trophy and Leslie Family Scholarship for all-round excellence.  In Year 11, Jack Harman was the top academic student, with Ella Kirby recognised for her all-round excellence.

Lieutenant Brock West – Commanding Officer of the HMNZS Hawea, a former student of Paraparaumu College, was inducted into the Paraparaumu College Hall of Fame.

Paraparaumu College’s 2018 Senior Students were announced at the ceremony.  The 2018 Head Students are Amey Greig and Riley McIntosh.  Jordan Lemana and Paula Bertham are their Deputies.
