Extracurricular Arts Director Vacancy

Paraparaumu College is a proudly co-educational school of around 1,400 students situated on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast.  We enjoy a spacious campus with a growing roll, an innovative approach to learning, and a commitment to achieving the highest equitable outcomes for our students. 

We have a vibrant extracurricular arts programme that includes a variety of arts events and activities including drama, dance, visual arts, music and kapa haka and we’re now looking for an Extracurricular Arts Director who can lead and grow this programme from an already well established base.

The Extracurricular Arts Director leads the development, promotion and delivery of the arts programme and provides opportunities for our students to participate and showcase their incredible talents in many different ways.  Your creative flair and vision will be central to delivering a programme that achieves high performance and enjoyment levels for students.

You will have experience working in the arts field, ideally in a leadership role, have knowledge and interest across a wide range of arts disciplines and enjoy working with young people.  As a confident and enthusiastic promoter of the arts to a wide range of audiences, you will be comfortable working in a lead role, building great relationships and networks right through our school community.  

This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week during term time, starting at the beginning of Term 1 2023.  Some additional work outside normal term time hours will be required.
