PPTA Strike Action – Wednesday 29 March

We have received confirmation that PPTA union members will strike on Wednesday 29 March.

Pursuant to Section 589 of the Education and Training Act 2020 , we have been informed by the PPTA that strike action will begin at 7:00am on 29 March 2023 and will end at 11:59pm on 29 March 2023.  The action will be continuous over that period.

This applies to all schools with a Board bound by either the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement or the Area School Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Due to the fact that the majority of teaching staff are union members, the school will be closed for instruction but open for supervision.

Please note, there will be limited school buses scheduled on this day for students requiring supervision.
