Situations Vacant – Temporary Grounds Assistant and Maintenance Assistant

We currently have two positions available on a temporary basis within our property team.  Both positions have potential to lead to more permanent employment.

Maintenance Assistant:  40 hours per week available now through to mid July 2021.  This position works as part of the maintenance team to ensure that our buildings and grounds are secure, safe and well maintained.  You will have previous building and/or facilities maintenance experience and be able to work both as part of the team and on your own to carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks assigned.  

Grounds Assistant: 25 hours per week available now through to mid July 2021. Working alongside the Head Groundskeeper to maintain and improve the grounds, sports fields, gardens and environment of the college.  You will have previous experience in maintaining gardens and lawns and may also have worked in sports field maintenance.  Ensuring that our college maintains its tidy and well kept appearance will be a key focus for this role.

For both positions, we are looking for people who can be flexible and willing to help out wherever needed within the property team.  You will have a positive and helpful attitude and enjoy working around young people.  You will be aware of the safety requirements for the work you do and will take pride in a job well done.

A full driver’s licence is essential and you will be required to undergo police vetting to be able to work in a school setting.
