Jack was on the Board of Governors at Kāpiti College when he saw the need for a second college in the area. Through his drive and determination, Paraparaumu College came to fruition, opening in 1977. Jack became a member of the Board of Governors at this time.
The Leslie Libary at the College is named after Jack.
Jack and his wife, Sue, have been avid supporters of the Arts and became patrons of the Paraparaumu College Roadshow. They would always attend performances at the college and supported us in very many ways. One of these is our Prizegivings, where many donations and scholarships are given to this day.
We offer our deepest sympathies to Sue and the family at this time.
