Our auditorium is a multi-purpose space that can be hired for a range of uses including community events and as a performance space.

The facility includes a kitchen and bathrooms which were fully refurbished in 2023.   

Seating capacity: 450

Staging:  Multiple options including two apron stages that can be reconfigured in multiple ways to extend the stage including creating a cat walk etc

Paraparaumu College has access to two gyms.  The smaller gym belongs to the school and is not available for hire.  The larger gym is the ‘community gym’ and belongs to both the College and to Kāpiti Coast District Council (KCDC).  This gym can be hired.  Hiring the community gym is organised through KCDC.  The community gym has a capacity of about 600 with the stage in place.   

Te Whare Ahurea is our cultural centre which was opened in early 2022.  It is one of our flagship buildings and we’re very proud of it.  It includes one permanent classroom space, and a larger performance and classroom space.  This larger space  is where our Maori performing arts students and our kapa haka group learn their craft and practise for events.  The facility also has a full kitchen and multi-stall female and male bathrooms.

Te Whare Ahurea is not currently available for public hire.  

The library is a busy place used for class work, reading, meetings, and as a place for students to spend time with friends outside of the classroom.  The library provides access to thousands of books, online tools, Chromebooks and a small number of PCs.  The library is an open plan space which can accommodate up to two classes at a time and has a small assessment space as well.  Click below to find out more.

The pavilion is a two storey facility with changing rooms on the bottom level and a large open plan area upstairs. The upstairs area has a wrap around deck overlooking our sports grounds, a large meeting area, kitchen facilities and male and female bathrooms.

The Pavilion Cafe is open provides food for students and staff.  The cafe is operated by a team of qualified chefs who focus on providing quality food at affordable prices. The cafe offers both canteen type food as well as a variety of home-cooked meals. It is open from 8.15 am - 2.30 pm every day during the school term.

• We have a single hockey/football turf

• Two netball/outdoor basketball courts
