Wed 31 July - Schoolwide Conferencing Day and the Kāpiti Coast Youth Careers Expo

Wednesday 31 July - Schoolwide Conferencing Day and the Kāpiti Coast Youth Careers Expo

What is Conferencing Day?

Conferencing Day allows students and whānau the opportunity to attend a 15-minute interview with their Tūhono Teacher to engage in open and honest dialogue about the student’s academic performance so far, well-being, attendance, pastoral care record, extra-curricular activities, goal setting and chance to discuss making great subject choices for 2023.

It is expected that all students have a conferencing interview.  Students are encouraged to bring a whānau member to the conference, however, if this is not possible, a friend is welcome to attend the interview as a support person and of course, students are welcome to participate on their own.

There are no timetabled classes on this day and students are not required to wear their school uniform.

Bookings are available via the schoolinterviews website.  Enter code: 4mkgb

What else is happening on this day?

We have an exciting Careers Expo happening simultaneously at Southwards Car Museum. This is a combined endeavour by the Careers Staff from our three local colleges.  All young adults from the Kāpiti Coast are invited to attend.

There will be a FREE Shuttle going from the college bus bay to Southwards every half hour starting at 9am.  This is for students and whānau who can get to school but not the Expo.

Who will be at the Expo?  Check out the list here
