Paraparaumu College is a proudly co-educational school of around 1,400 students situated on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast. We enjoy a spacious campus with a growing roll, an innovative approach to learning, and a commitment to achieving high equitable outcomes for all students.
We take great pride in our buildings, grounds, gardens and environment and have a range of projects on the go, including a Ministry managed new build of an additional ten classrooms to accommodate roll growth. The Property Manager is key to the ongoing growth and success of our college as we recognise the important role they play in leading our dedicated property team to deliver a well presented and maintained, safe and secure campus for all, as well as help develop and deliver property and facility projects that continually improve our college environment.
We are excited to offer this permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) opportunity for the first time in several years and we are confident that we can offer the right person a diverse and rewarding role in a supportive and progressive environment. The job description outlines the role and requirements for the position and we are looking for a start in April 2021.
You may already have experience working in a similar role in an education setting, or you may have property, facilities and project management skills and experience and are looking for a change where you can really make a difference in this leading role. Either way, you will be a self-starter, enjoy working around young people, be highly organised and be committed to own this role. You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills, a focus on safety and security, and the ability to manage and stay on top of work at the detail level as well as contributing to the vision and future development of our campus.
A full driver’s license is essential and you will be required to undergo police vetting to be able to work in a school setting.
